RIP Google Reader – NetNewsWire RSS Reader Demo

Google recently announced that on July 1, 2013 its RSS Reader will no longer be available. In preparation, I read several posts about what the best replacement options might be and landed on NetNewsWire. After a few weeks, I now prefer it to Google Reader. Here are a few reasons why.

I’ve been using Feedly. It can take some getting used to, but I’ve been using it for a few weeks now and like the different view options they have. More of a Web 2.0 feel to it vs. the standard news reader..

Hey, Pete. Thanks for the tip. I signed up to take Feedly for a test drive. It is not immediately apparent that I am going to like it as well as NetNewsWire but I’ll give it a few tries.

Okay, Pete. I was only able to use my iOS devices over the past four days, so I took your advice and gave Feedly a good working over. I really really like the iOS apps for iPhone and iPad. I might just be convert. For certain on all of my mobile devices. Which I just realized probably means I will move to Feedly when reading my feeds on desktop as well so all devices will all be in sync. Thanks!

NetNewsWire doesn’t work in Sweden? Maybe try Pete’s suggestion – Feedly.com
