Saturday, July 24, 2010 I attended my first Scott Kelby Worldwide Photowalk. A photographer friend of mine Rosemary from DesertRose Images suggested I check it out. While the Phoenix walk was all full, I was able to eek out a spot on the Tucson walk. The experience at Kitt Peak was pretty incredible. Here is one of my favorite shots from the experience.
Thanks again to Barney Streit, Mike and Sandy Hawes, and everyone else who put this on.
Nice one Owen! Was this an HDR shot?
Hi, Linda. Thank, you. This wasn’t an HDR shot but good question. Just the old dodging and burning. My thought was, since it was an observatory, I wanted the structure housing the gigantic telescope to give you the impression it’s like a planet, and the sky to eek out, and look more and more like space as it moves outward.
